Larkin Avenue Baptist Elgin is seeking a Worship Leader.
They would also like to enlist a partner church on a Block Party. Here is summary of what they have in mind: "What we'd like to do this year is to go help another church in the area with their block party (we already have about a dozen ready to go, and we can take our "stuff": canopy, games, sno-cone machine, popcorn machine, don't have a bounce house though) and then have them come and help us with ours which is scheduled for August 6. Dr. Trey Turner has been involved in ministry since 1985. He was licensed to the ministry April 1988. He was ordained November 1994. Turner has a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor (1992), Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1995), and a Doctor of Ministry, also from Southwestern, (2002). He has served as pastor of churches in Texas before moving to Wisconsin in 2009. He is married to Lea Ann, Instructional Design specialist and manager at Mid-State Technical College. Together they have Timothy, Bailey, and Garrison.
Trey and Church at Wazeecha is affiliated with the SBC, Minnesota Wisconsin Baptist Convention, and the Southern Wisconsin Baptist Association. We are so grateful for the FVBA Children's Camp. The dates are July 25-29 at Streator. We mentioned previously that the heartbeat of Fox Valley is missions. Children's Camp is no different. This year we want to include some children in this year's camp that cannot attend without your financial assistance. The cost for camp is $140 per camper. Would you and/or your church consider helping a child go to camp this summer. A week of camp can be a life changing experience for a child. Thanks in advance for your help. Church Planting Vision Tour April 23, 2016 Saturday 9:00am Depart from Orchard Valley Baptist Church; 2301 Jericho Rd, Aurora, IL 60506 11:30am Lunch 2:30pm Arrive in McHenry and then return back to OVBC 3:30pm Arrive back at Orchard Valley Baptist Church. We will leave our cars at OVBC and then return there when we finish. Purpose: * Drive through the Fox Valley with the eyes of the Lord * Discover needs and places for new churches to be planted * To Pray as we go for God’s revival to fall * To encourage each other as servants of the Lord RSVP: Please invite others to come. We have a 15 passenger van for this tour, so there is room for more. |
