Sycamore Baptist Church

Praises: Rapid growth of the church--especially among young families. Youth group has grown dramatically.

"Pictured below is the blue door of Sycamore Baptist Church. The blue color for the doors was chosen after the church consulted the NIU Art Department on what color went best with the building. No one except the Lord could have known how the Lord would use the blue doors. Hits on the church website rapidly increased once the doors were painted. Sycamore came to be known as the "blue door" church. When church members talked with prospects--the reply of the prospects was "oh, you are from the blue door church. This is not to say that this is the only reason the church grew, but isn't it amazing that the Lord is always one step ahead of us in growing His church."
Prayer Requests: Children's Workers needed. New families acclimated into the church. That everyone in the church would become a missionary to his/her neighborhood and circle of friends.
